Social media sites, and in particular Facebook, make very powerful advertising platforms. Those who have not ventured into this type of marketing do not know of the advantages of Facebook advertising. The advantages are many, and one does not even need to commission a full fledged market analysis research to know them.
The first thing that comes to mind is the number of people you will be able to reach. Currently, the site has over eight hundred millions fans, spread across the globe, and the number is growing by the second. It is not easy to get a platform with this high number of potential customers, and the diversity inherently carried by its global location.
If there is a market in which you can perfectly classify and target particular demographics perfectly, then it is this site. In fact, you can go ahead and play around with some keywords or interests & you will have the ability to target the particular people you are interested in marketing for. This gives your products or services high chances of reaching the right people.
There are other good social networking sites, but they may not give a person the freedom to write long advertisements like this site allows. With Facebook you are allowed to to write up to 135 characters, and this is enough to put up a good readable piece. This eliminates the usual problem with advertisement lines, the fact that they are almost always incomprehensible.
Another advantage is that it is also permissible to upload a photograph, or any other kind of image. Any advertising guru will tell you that it is easier to advertise with visual features than the use of text alone. Images are constantly used to draw attention of viewers to certain features on a page, and it has been proven to work very well. This is applicable in almost all mediums of advertisement.
The other advantage is that you do not even need to own a website! This can be a great advantage, since you may need to put a product on sale fast without editing your website. The fact that Facebook has a good way of dealing with affiliates makes this possible. Additionally, you do not need to be a marketing expert to have success with your ads.
With many internet marketing methods, users are required to have long mailing lists. One can either create a mailing list, or buy one, and both of these methods have major disadvantages. The former method is very difficult and takes a lot of time, while the later may not give you reliable contacts. Fortunately, with using this platform of advertising you do not need any of those.
It is also very suitable for small businesses, or recent start ups. With Facebook, you have two options of paying, so you can choose whichever suits you. You can either go with pay per click, or you can opt for impression. Advertisement has always been an expensive venture, and anything that reduces this particular overhead is welcomed.

Facebook is a great place to consider advertising…the

In this computer era when almost everyone is adept at internet usage, Facebook has become one of the cheapest ways to promote your business. The positive comments of Facebook users are an indirect form of advertisement which can create a good name for your firm.
