Learning how to create a tweet able link will benefit anyone that is interested in using Twitter to market their business. When you create a link, you not only make it easier on yourself, but also on the people that want to re-tweet your information for you.
To begin, you will need to have a basic understanding of how to use or write HTML code. It is not necessary to know a lot and you do not need to be a professional. With just a few basic steps you can create your tweet-table links.
To begin, you will create what is called a tag. To create this, you use a small a with brackets before and after and place one at the beginning and at the end of the code. They will look like VaV in the beginning and V/aV at the end of the line of code. Prior to the website address, you will use an attribute, href= and you must add quotes to each side of the web address.
After the address of the website and the quotes have been entered, it is necessary to write the word target, followed by an equals sign and another quote to close the code. Next, you need to add an underscore and the word blank. When you are done it should look like this: target=”_blank. It is recommended that you add this attribute so that when the link is clicked it will open in a new browser window.
There are other ways you can write the code to create a tweet-able link, but this is one of the easiest to remember. At this point, your HTML code should look something like this: Va href=http://yourwebsitehere.com/index target=”_blank”V. To close off this line of your code it is important to add your V at the end.
Finally, you will enter the section that you want to make clickable. To do this the words must be placed between your VaV and the V/aV. For example, if you want the clickable section to read “my site is here, ” then your code should look like this: “Va href=http://yourwebsitehere.com/index target=”_blank”Vmy site is hereV/aV”. Now when the user clicks on the link you created, your website will show up in a new tab or browser window.
Learning basic HTML code is easy and now you know how to create a tweet-able link. Using this method will help open new doors of opportunity for your business.
